Traveling... A Series of Precious Moments

So today we awoke in Mt. Vernon, MO to snow on our vehicle!  Thought we were driving out of winter, but apparently it's haunting us on our travels.  Remember the Florida trip?  Remember the record-setting cold weather they had while we were there?  Doc and I are getting a complex.  Still en route to Texas, but tonight we are in southern Oklahoma.  Be glad you weren't in the Safari to hear our rousing rendition of "Oooooooklahoma" that involved a lot of "dum dum dum dum dum-dum-dum-dum-dum" when we couldn't remember the words.  Before that, however, we stopped to see the Precious Moments Sistine Chapel.  That's right, your eyes don't deceive you.  I said THE PRECIOUS MOMENTS SISTINE CHAPEL!  I took photos so you don't have to believe my words.  By the time we got to the hotel this evening it had increased to 50 degree weather, and a lot of interesting clouds were happening.  Tomorrow we are leisurely driving the last 4 or so hours to Texas to hang out with family.  Until then, happy trails!

On Safari

To explain the title, the vehicle we are sporting on our journeys is called a Safari.  It's a large vanlike beast with an honest-to-God button marked "mood lighting."  No joke.  Anyway, Doc and I leave again tomorrow for a fabulous foray into the Southwest US.  We're hitting Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and whatever states are between here and there.  Before we leave, I wanted to share the link for my website with those of you who have approached me about purchasing photos from my blog.  You can find photos that have been posted on the blog, and others, from the section marked Travel at http://clairyce.zenfolio.com .  I promise to keep you all posted on our ambling with my ramblings.
